SONG OF PALESTINE
Every tear my children shed will be a river that floods you
Every drop of their blood will bloom into a flower that overwhelms you
Every cry of pain will become a song that deafens you
Every desperate scream a poem that breaks your heart
I am Palestine, a humble land from the river to the sea
I taught my children to welcome the stranger
And to share their bread without asking who they are
Every tear my children shed will be a river that floods you
Every drop of their blood will bloom into a flower that overwhelms you
Every cry of pain will become a song that deafens you
Every desperate scream a poem that breaks your heart
I am Palestine, a poor land from the river to the sea
I taught my children to be brave against the oppressor
And until my last breath, I will exist
Every tear my children shed will be a river that floods you
Every drop of their blood will bloom into a flower that overwhelms you
Every cry of pain will become a song that deafens you
Every desperate scream a poem that breaks your heart
I am Palestine, a sacred land from the river to the sea
I taught my children the meaning of struggle
And of the flag that will one day fly over a free Jerusalem
